President Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of the Congo Attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Loango University Project in Pointe-Noire
On February 29th, the foundation stone-laying ceremony was held for the Loango University project in Pointe-Noire, Republic of the Congo. President Denis Sassou Nguesso and his wife, Prime Minister Anatole Colene Makoso attended the ceremony and laid the foundation stone for the project. The Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technological Innovation of the Republic of the Congo, the general representative of the Large-scale Engineering Committee, the Governor of Kwilu Province and other government officials, the Deputy GM of WIETC Zhengwei (Republic of the Congo) Zhao Baojun and other representatives of the participating parties were invited to attend.

At the ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technological Innovation, the general representative of the Large-scale Engineering Committee, and the Governor of Kwilu Province delivered speeches successively. They expressed that the University of Loango is the third national university in the Republic of the Congo, which will fill the gap in higher education in the Pointe-Noire region and greatly improve the local education level.
This project consists of three individual projects, including the College of Oil, Gas, Mining and Energy, a library, and a university business center, with a total construction area of 15,750 square meters and a construction period of 24 months. The project schedule is tight, its task is heavy, and the project team will adhere to high standards and strict requirements through scientific organization and careful arrangement to complete the project construction tasks with the planned quality and quantity on time.
