As the last bucket of concrete was poured in place at 11:00 a.m. on April 11, the main structure of CORIS Bank in Burkina Faso, which was constructed by WIETC (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), was successfully completed. On the same day, ZHENGWEI West Africa and the project team held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the project on the construction site.
Located in Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso, the project, with a total building area of about 16,000m2 and a total height of 57 meters, has one floor underground and 15 floors above the ground. As the highest building in Burkina Faso and one of the local landmarks, the project has created many records in the construction industry of the country in terms of the number of single continuous concrete pouring and the construction of large-scale high-altitude cantilever concrete structure support system. Since commencement, the project team has overcome many difficulties such as the impact of the pandemic and political instability by working with full strength, guaranteeing quality, paying attention to safety, reducing costs, and taking multiple measures to ensure the smooth completion of the main structure.
In the follow-up construction process, the project team will make persistent efforts, overcome difficulties, complete various construction tasks with quality, ensure the smooth completion of the project, and deliver a satisfactory answer to the Company, the owner and the local communities.
